Region E Conference Information
The committed and dedicated members of Cornell University’s SWE section, with the support of the Cornell University Diversity Programs in Engineering office and the SWE Twin Tiers Professional Section are pleased to present the 2009 SWE Mid-Atlantic Region Conference in Ithaca, New York on March 6-8, 2009.

Conference events will take place on the Cornell University campus during the weekend of March 6-8, 2009. The Job Fair and workshops will be hosted throughout the Cornell Engineering Quad, while the Saturday night banquet will be held in the Carrier Grand Ballroom of Cornell’s Statler Hotel.
Located in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of Ithaca, New York, Cornell’s gorgeous campus offers plenty of options for entertainment. The towering waterfalls, lush gorges, and scenic Cayuga Lake are the reason for the slogan "Ithaca is gorges!" The Collegetown area of Ithaca boasts an exciting nightlife, and downtown Ithaca is home to many delicious restaurants and interesting shops and boutiques. In addition, there is something to meet every student’s interests on the Cornell campus itself. Registration packets will include a map and list of activities that conference attendees can enjoy in between conference events.

Transportation
Ithaca Airline Limousine
Shuttles provided by Ithaca Airline Limousine will be available for transportation between the Cornell campus and Holiday Inn.
For those driving, parking garages will be available on campus, as well as several information stations located throughout campus. The Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport is also located near to the campus and hotel, and an airport shuttle or taxi to or from the campus or hotel costs approximately $20.00 per ride.
